A little touch of New Zealand, a soap containing both Kawakawa infused sweet almond oil and Manuka essential oil. The black colour of this soap is from the addition of activated charcoal which has amazing cleansing power – it draws out toxins which helps those struggling with acne, oily skin or blackheads.
Kawakawa is native to New Zealand and is known to have wonderful healing qualities. You can find it in forest areas, look out for their unique heart shaped leaves. The more holes in the leaves, the better. It is used traditionally in Maori medicine as an antibacterial, to reduce inflammation and skin irritation. Used for centuries to heal wounds, bruises, minor cuts, infections and eczema.
Manuka essential oil has been known to protect and prevent acne having powerful antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Tea tree has been included for its similar properties – there are studies available that show participants using Tea tree oil on acne experienced improvement in total acne and severity.
As each bar is hand cut, weights may vary. Minimum weight 100grams.
